Discovery middle school shooting

Be informed for the news conference at 4:30pm as police and city leaders in Madison, AL will be discussing on the detail of the Discovery middle school shooting incident.

The venue of the conference is Madison Fire Station 2, a witness LaTisha King said the incident involved ninth grade student shot at another same grade student. The victim was sent to the Huntsville Hospital in an ambulance. Police had caught the shooter and in custody.

It was told by the Madison County Sheriff Department that the student was shot in the head at the ninth grade hallway which happened on Friday noon,

The firefigthers were on the scene in few minutes after the incident happened while police was setup the perimeter and their quick response was applauded by Madison Education Superintendant

The school was on lock down until the preliminary investigation was completed and students were released at 2:30pm.

Investigation is still in progress.

P/S: This incident was all too common nowadays especially involving young students and dispute among them. It’s just too dangerous, that the weapon of self defense lying around the house.
